Brightwheel offers many awesome features, but to begin, we’ll be using it to streamline our billing process. Each month (5 days before the 1st of the next month), you should receive an invoice from Brightwheel with your tuition amount due.

1. Automatic invoicing — You’ll have a clear view every month of what you’re being charged, any credits or balances, and how much is owed.

2. Autopay — For many years, we’ve had parents inquire about setting up autopay, so that you no longer have to remember to buy checks. Zelle made that possible for some of y’all, but others are still struggling with daily limits and bank issues.

3. Lower credit card fees — In addition to accepting direct ACH payments, brightwheel offers lower credit card fees (2.75%) as opposed to our previous provider (3.5%).

4. Automatic receipts — With more enrollment after the move, our admin team was spending an increasing amount of time hand-writing receipts. Now you’ll automatically get a receipt in your Brightwheel account after you’ve made a payment.

5. Tax statements — At the end of every year, you’ll automatically be able to download your own tax statement directly from your account.

We will continue to accept in-office checks, Zelle, or cash for payment if that is strongly preferred. However, it is incredibly helpful to our team if payment is made directly through the Brightwheel platform.

Please email or come chat in person if you have any questions, concerns, or notice any issues with your child’s billing information! While the information is now visible to y’all directly, it was still input by our team, so mistakes can happen.

Brightwheel offers many other awesome features — like online sign-in and out, ability to send digital updates and daily reports, and ability to directly send and fill out forms. For now, we’ll only be utilizing billing, but as we get more familiar with the platform and figure out how it fits into our team’s workflow, we may be rolling out additional features!
