Escuelita’s Values

  • Child-Centered Learning

We honor each child's unique developmental journey through thoughtful education that engages their natural curiosity rather than rushing toward academic benchmarks.

  • Continuous Growth

Our year-round program respects natural learning rhythms, allowing children to build upon discoveries without the disruptions of traditional school calendars.

  • Community Connection

Children thrive within our "Little School of the Soul" where shared experiences and intergenerational relationships foster belonging, empathy, and social confidence.

  • Early Foundations

We recognize infancy through pre-kindergarten as critical years for establishing cognitive, linguistic, and social-emotional foundations that serve children throughout life.

  • Cultural Heritage

Bilingual education provides children with multiple perspectives and honors cultural identities while building bridges between communities and traditions.

  • Joyful Engagement

We believe learning flourishes in an atmosphere of warmth, creativity and play. Our days are filled with music, movement, art, and laughter—creating an environment where children are eager to participate and discover.

    Waitlist Information

Due to our nurturing environment and language immersion program, Escuelita del Alma currently maintains a 2-3 year waitlist across most age groups. We're honored by this vote of confidence from our community!

    Starting Your Journey

    2. No application fee is required to join our waitlist

    3. Stay connected by emailing us every 6 months to confirm your continued interest

To keep our waitlist current, we remove families we haven't heard from in 6+ months. If this happens, you're always welcome to reapply.

    When a Space Becomes Available

When your child reaches the top of our waitlist, Ms. Dina, our Director, will personally contact you to offer the available space. At that time:

    1. You'll complete our enrollment package

    2. Reserve your child's spot with:

      • $50 one-time registration fee (non-refundable)

      • Full month's tuition deposit (refundable with 30 days' written notice of withdrawal)

      • $25 annual supplies fee

While the wait can feel long, many families tell us it was absolutely worth it! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we maintain our commitment to small class sizes and personalized attention.

  • Health & Safety: Our Community Promise

At Escuelita del Alma, protecting our community's wellbeing remains our priority. We've developed comprehensive protocols that balance safety with creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

While we've moved beyond the height of the pandemic, our commitment to health remains unwavering. We maintain enhanced cleaning protocols and encourage good hygiene practices that benefit our community year-round.

    Guidelines During Health Concerns

Should public health conditions change or seasonal illness increase, we're prepared to implement appropriate measures:

    • Students and staff with concerning symptoms will be asked to stay home until they're well

    • During significant outbreaks, we may follow CDC-recommended isolation periods based on vaccination status and symptoms

    • We maintain flexibility to adapt quickly to changing public health guidance

    Daily Wellness Practices

    Our ongoing health measures include:

    • Optional masking for anyone who prefers this additional protection

    • Regular disinfection of classroom surfaces and shared materials

    • Structured handwashing protocols throughout the day

    • Open communication with families about any health concerns in our community

We balance prudent health practices with creating the joyful, interactive environment essential for your child's development. Thank you for partnering with us in maintaining our healthy learning community.

  • Our New Forever Home: Exciting Changes Ahead

In 2022, we learned that the Texas Department of Transportation's IH-35 expansion would directly impact our current location. While unexpected, this challenge has become an opportunity for Escuelita del Alma to put down permanent roots in Austin.

We're thrilled to announce we've secured our forever home! In Spring 2024, we finalized the purchase of a beautiful property on Bluestein Drive, just inside the 183 corridor.

Learn more about Bluestein Drive here.
